SICILY. Leontini. Roman rule, After 214 BC. AE (Bronze, 20 mm, 7.75 g, 12 h). Draped bust of Demeter facing, wearing wreath of grain ears; to left, plow. Rev. [ΛΕΟΝΤΙ-ΝΩΝ] River god seated right, holding cornucopiae in his right hand and reed in his left. CNS III, 8. HGC 2, 713. SNG ANS 275-6. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
